Obituary of Bonita Marie Massena

Bonita Maria "Bon Bon" Massena, 58, of Mt. Pleasant Twp., passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home. She was born January 22, 1956, a daughter of Margaret (Tirdil) Magda of Norvelt and the late John Magda. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson Jack Ziegler, a sister Carol Ann Link, and a brother Robert Magda. Bonita had been employed by Giant Eagle, Eastgate as a cake decorator. BonBon was the ultimate Steeler fan. She was the loving wife to husband Joseph Massena: loving mother to daughter Hollie (Patrick) Ziegler of Pittsburgh; loving grandmother to Sage Williams and Patrick Ziegler. Also surviving are sister Kathy Langford and husband Dr. Amel "Buzz" of Latrobe, sister in law Anita Ridge of Latrobe and sister in law and brother in law Sandra and Edward Baughman of Mt. Pleasant Twp., and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Norvelt, 15674 where her transfer prayers will be 9:15 a.m. Friday followed by her mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Florian Catholic Church, United with Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Calumet. A vigil service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
