Obituary of Douglas R Orbin

Douglas R. Orbin, 64, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. Born April 26, 1957 in Youngwood PA. He was the son of the late Ralph and Ozelma Orbin. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Ralph Jr. and by his father-in- law Leonard J Lucotch .Doug is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Patty (Lucotch). He was a loving father to three amazing children, Matthew (Erica), Wesley, and Celina. Doug was a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh and worked at AK Steel in Butler for many years. He loved bird watching, fishing, swimming and sports. Doug was also a passionate advocate for the environment. He is survived by his brother Alfred and his 2 sisters, Karen and Robin. Doug is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and mother-in-law Rita M (Ferlin) Lucotch. He will be dearly missed by his friends, neighbors, and his cats Casey and Jazz. He was an organ donor for The Center of Organ Recovery in Pittsburgh. Family and friends are welcome in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M, Wednesday. Doug’s Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday with Rev. John A. Sedlak presiding. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
