Obituary of Candy Jo Jo Rowe-Murphy

Candy Jo Rowe-Murphy, 62 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday August 7, 2021, with her family by her side. Born on, June 6, 1959 in Port Allegheny, Pa., she is preceded in death by her father Ralph (Tom) Nolan. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her husband Robert K. Rowe and two sisters, Edna Ziegler and Dawn Sadler Candy is survived by her Mother Barbara (Moore) Housman and two loving children Cassandra and Robert Rowe. She is also survived by her fiance' Edward Slebzak siblings Linda Swann, Brenda Sanchez, David Nolan, Meril Weimer, and Bobby Weimer, she was the oldest of her 7 siblings, 5 Grandchildren; Saraya Rowe, Cuhliyah French, Ki' Lani French, Ah' meir French and Reina Mendoza She grew up in Baltimore, Md. and attended Catonsville High School, She modeled for Barbizon School of modeling and also ran a daycare business. . Candy loved her grandchildren very very much, they had a special name for her, "Ya Ya" (Greek for grandmother). She loved cooking, crafts, gardening and to travel. She also liked to dress up and get her hair and nails done . Family and friends will be received Saturday, August 28 from 2-4 P.M in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt. Candy's funeral service will also be Saturday, in the funeral home, at 4 P.M with Rev. Dale Porterfield Officiating.
