Richard L. Greenawalt, 57 of Mt. Pleasant passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack January 4, 2022. Born November 17, 1964 in Mt. Pleasant, he was son of the late Glenn V. Greenawalt Sr. and Dorothy L. (Kwak) Beveridge. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Jeffrey Greenawalt. He is survived by brothers Dennis Chappell of Hunker, Glenn Greenawalt Jr. Of Ruffsdale and sister Tameria Greenawalt of Mt. Pleasant. Rick was hearing and verbally impaired, within the last 2 years he had learned how to use a cell phone and a computer. He enjoyed trains, and people, he was such a gentle, kind, and loving person. Every where Rick went he always knew somebody, everyone loved him and his smile was priceless. Family and friends will be received in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt Friday January 7, 2022, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Rick's funeral service will be 11A.M Saturday in the Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Landis officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg.If Rick could speak, he would say, "Love one another ".
