Obituary of Wayne D Kantorik

Wayne D.(Buddy) Kantorik, 81 of Mt. Pleasant, Pa. died Saturday, January 15, 2022 in WVU Uniontown Hospital. He was born July 2, 1940 in Acme, Pa. son of the late Clyde and Clara Kantorik. Wayne served in the US Navy from 1958-1961, upon returning from the military he worked at Charlton Bros. Transportation Co. until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time spent at camp in Forest County. He loved to do woodworking and many crafts for family and friends. Butterfly houses, wooden trucks and furniture. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #750 and American Legion Post 446 in Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister Evelyn Mowry and two grandsons, Carl Burkholder-Nolan and Scott Burkholder-Nolan. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Diane Semple Kantorik. He is also survived by his children, Eric (Dianne) of Tennessee; Marsha (Rick) Boring of Acme, Pa.,; grandchildren Seth Kantorik, Hope Kantorik of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, PA. from 1-3 P.M with Pastor Ben Wiltrout officiating.
