Bessie (Queer) Uram, 95, of Acme passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at Greensburg Care Center, Greensburg. She was born Jun. 2, 1926, in Bridgeport the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Haney) Queer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Victor in 1979; two sisters Ester Queer and Faye Soles; and three brothers Homer, Vernon and George Queer. Prior to retirement she was employed as a seamstress by Connellsville Sportswear. Bessie loved oldies, country music, Saturday night poker games with her family and spending time with nieces and nephews. She is survived by a sister-in-law Shirley Queer of Acme, a Goddaughter Rose Ciglar (Josh) Biller and their son Baxter, close nieces Barbara Queer (Richard) Ciglar, of Norvelt and their son Andy of Greensburg and Sharon and son Lee McGary of Mt. Pleasant and many other wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends will be received 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Tuesday Feb 15, in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674. Bessie's Funeral Service will be 11 A.M Wednesday, Feb 16, 2022, in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Thoma, officiating.
