Obituary of Edward J Poklembo

Edward J."Jack" Poklembo,87,of Stahlstown, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.He was born August 24,1934,in Renton, to the late Michael Poklembo and Kathryn (Rabick) Poklembo.He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force where he was a Cryptographer and a member of the US Air Force - Secret Service.Following his service,he became a member of American Legion Post 941, Donegal, PA.Jack was a Roman Catholic and had been a member of St. Florian Roman Catholic Church.He was also an acordianist for "The Thunderbirds" and the "The Polka Spectaculars"; American Legion Post 941, Donegal,PA.He was a retired stopper maker for US Steel - Edgar Thomson Works.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Constance Duritsky; and infant granddaughter Lauren Elizabeth Jancosko; four siblings, Michael Poklembo; Martha (Soflak) Palcic; Veronica Pochinsky; Ann Misiewicz. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary Marie (Gasper) Poklembo; four children, Edward M. Poklembo; Lisa Coleman, Francis "Frank" Poklembo (girlfriend, Kim Barkley), Anita Shultz (Tom); six grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Hannah, Jacob, Logan, and Ian; four great-grandchildren, Saige,Domynick, Kay-Pri,Katy, Grant, Fancy, Austin; two siblings Dorothy Curci and Kenneth Poklembo (Marlene); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Family and friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, where Jack's funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at,11:00 a.m. with Fr.
