Obituary of Dolores T. Murdock

Dolores T. (Laciak) Murdock, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Born February 4, 1930 in Wyano, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Lesko) Laciak. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a glass finisher/etcher at Lenox Crystal in Mt. Pleasant. She attended Visitation Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Dolores was a member of the Kosciuszko Ladies Auxiliary. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will miss her binding presence in their lives. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Wayne" Murdock, Sr. in 2006. Dolores is survived by her children, Joseph W. (Cindy) Murdock Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Sharon Crock and Burt Riggi of Latrobe, Michelle (Neil) Lamb of Ponca City, OK, Michael (Linda Raby) Murdock, of Fortuna, CA, Mary Louise (Michael) Petrucci of Confluence, Eunice Halfhill and David Flagg of Wilmington, NC, Marsha (Rodney) White of Stahlstown, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a brother, Samuel (Anna Marie) Laciak of Trauger and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2-8 PM Friday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME 2245 MT. PLEASANT RD., NORVELT, 15674, where her funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, with Pastor David L. Greer, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
