Obituary of Manfred Sillett

Manfred “Mike” Sillett, 75, Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at home. He was born September 29, 1947, in Nurenburg, Germany to the late Michael and Babette (Deiss) Sillett. He served his country during the Vietnam war in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired Appeals Referee for the State of Pennsylvania. Mike was a life member of Hecla Sportsmen's Club, an avid outdoorsman, golfer and mushroom hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Maryann Raishart; and his furry companion Chloe. Mike is survived by the love of his life Denise (Raishart) Sillett; his two boys, Erich (Jennifer) Sillett and Matthew Sillett; his former daughter-in-law, Samantha Shaffer; five grandchildren, Sierra, Josslyn, Logan, Charlotte, Audrey; two brothers-in-law, Michael (Karen) Raishart, and Carl (Judy) Raishart; a nephew Michael (Joelle) Raishart; two great nephews, Braiden and Kason; and a great niece, Brylee. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Florian Cemetery with Pastor Tim Auer officiating. Military honors will follow the service and be conducted by the Armbrust Veterans Honor Guard at graveside.
